Cockroaches
Roaches are known to spread at least 33 different types of bacteria, six kinds of parasitic worms, and at least seven other human pathogens. Additionally, the saliva, droppings and decomposing bodies of cockroaches contain proteins that trigger allergies and increase asthma symptoms, especially in children. If you find one cockroach in your home, it's likely there are many more hiding in cracks and crevices. Roaches can breed at a rate of up to six generations per year.
Fleas
Fleas can live on any warm-blooded animal, but prefer to live on humans, cats, dogs, rats and other rodents. They are best known for spreading the Bubonic Plague. Their saliva is an allergen that can cause allergic reactions in pets and humans. Fleas can also transfer tapeworms and cause anemia in pets.
Yellow Jackets
Yellow jackets are very territorial. If the entrance to their nest is approached, they will become very aggressive and can sting multiple times. Yellowjackets can build nests underground or in the air. Common places for a nest are in the bushes, trees, or eaves of your home. People who are allergic to their venom could have a severe reaction, and it is possible to become hypersensitive to yellowjackets after being stung.
Mice
Mice can jump up to one foot in the air and can squeeze through openings as small as the size of a dime. Mice can carry and spread as many as 200 human pathogens and produce between 40 - 100 droppings per day. Additionally, they constantly give off micro-droplets of urine as they travel around their territory every day. A female mouse can give b
Silverfish
Silverfish are one of the most ancient insects on the planet. They have been around for more than 400 million years. Once a female silverfish reaches her adult sage, she can produce eggs every day for the rest of her life. These eggs are typically laid in protected areas, such as cracks, crevices, and under carpeting or rugs. They love moisture and feed on a very unusual diet consisting of paper, glue, shaving cream, and other starchy substances.
House Ants
Ants like to eat sweets and often contaminate food. They nest near moisture sources, such as in wall voids near hot water pipes, in heaters, and beneath leaky fixtures. Ants can live in colonies from hundreds to many thousands of individuals in size.
